Tapping Techniques

Several thousand years ago the Chinese discovered a complex system of energy circuits, called meridians and or channels running throughout the body.  These pathways are the centerpiece of Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture.
Rather than using needles, EFT/Tapping relieves symptoms by gently tapping or rubbing various specific acupuncture points.

What is Tapping

Tapping

Tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), relieves emotional and physical distress through accessing specific meridian points in the upper body. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, meridian points are the physical locations of Qi - or life-force energy - and tapping specific points can help release blocked or congested energy and restore balance.

Tapping is a safe and simple tool used by professionals and as a self-help therapeutic technique to ease common conditions such as anxiety, through to more severe disorders such as post-traumatic stress.

Developed in 1995 by Gary Craig, EFT tapping combines elements of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. By using your fingertips to lightly tap or gently rub on nine acupressure points on the face, crown of the head and collarbone, this powerful tool can produce profound results quickly.

When used correctly - and if the person is getting to the core of their anxiety - relief can be experienced within 10 minutes. If the distress is more entrenched, results will likely take longer to occur. EFT tapping encourages you to be honest with yourself and your feelings, which helps you work through the mental challenges causing the physical reaction.
