  • AcupunctureNZ members only use pre - sterilized single use needles.

  • Usually no more than 6 - 12 needles are used in each treatment.

  • There is no age limit for treatment - everyone from babies to the elderly may benefit.

  • Advise your practitioner if you are pregnant - some acupoints are not recommended during pregnancy.

  • Chinese herbs may be in raw form or offered as powders, pills or capsules.

  • AcupunctureNZ members are recognized ACC treatment providers.

  • You are welcome to bring along with you a chaperone/support person for any of your consultations.

 AcupunctureNZ is the oldest and largest professional body representing acupuncturists in New Zealand. A member of the World Federation of Acupuncture Societies, AcupunctureNZ also has strong affiliations with Acupuncture associations in Australia, the United States and Britain.

 Members of AcupunctureNZ have completed a minimum of 4 years full - time training either in New Zealand or overseas and are recognised ACC treatment providers. All members are bound by AcupunctureNZ rules and ethical guidelines and are required to complete on - going professional education in order to maintain their annual practicing certificate.
